WhatsApp Will Now Label Forwarded Messages

There are lot of fake messages and news created on the WhatsApp platform to mislead other users. Now, WhatsApp has heard our cry once again by labeling forwarded messages to combat and curb false news.
In a bid to combat false news and misinformation on the WhatsApp app that has over 1.5 billion active users worldwide and 200 million active users in India alone, the company has decided to label any forwarded messages shared on the platform.
The label will indicate when a message has been forwarded to someone from another user. Text, images, videos and audio files will have the label.
According to WhatsApp blog post, it says, "This extra context will help make one-on-one and group chats easier to follow. It also helps you determine if your friend or relative wrote the message they sent or if it originally came from someone else."
Basically, this shows that any message shared to you from another source without name but just a "forwarded" label, you should take the information as a pinch of salt.

To get the WhatsApp with label feature, you need to update your app on Playstore for Android or on Appstore for iOS.
Before the launch of this feature worldwide, WhatsApp had beta tested the feature in India and Brazil. It was said that WhatsApp has caused a lot of death in the countries.
Rumours of child abduction and traffickers were spread greatly through the app, which lead to many deaths. And another case reported, was the misinformation about a yellow fever vaccine spread by the app has caused the disease to swell and rise again to unprecedented numbers.
Now, WhatsApp has called the government, civil society, and technology companies to work together to combat and stop the circulation of fake and false news propagated through the app.
