Have you ever been disturbed by some people you follow on Instagram due to one reason and the other? Have you ever wanted to follow an account but decides not to receive any update from them on your feed? The new Instagram “Mute” feature will allow you perform that task.
New Instagram Mute Feature allows you to personalize your feed and in other word, it helps you to control what posts you see on Instagram. It’s an alternative feature to unfollow an account. The feature allows you to hide posts in feed from certain accounts, without actually unfollowing them.
Specifically, when you mute an account, you will still be able to see posts from their profile page but won’t see their posts on your feed, till you unmute the account.
So, to mute an account, tap on the three dotted lines (…) menu on the person’s profile. From there, you can decide whether to “Mute Post” or “Mute Story” or mute the both.
However, the feature will roll out to all users in the coming week.
